Entrecard Credit Weekly Transfer Limits Raised

Just got an email from Entrecard management a few days ago, apparently transfer limits of credits has been lifted to 25,000 credits per week .

Quoting Graham who tried to explain the reason behind raised limits,

Hopefully, this will encourage members to hold bigger contests more frequently, without the need for coordination from Entrecard.

There are two ways to interpret Graham’s meaning:

  1. The new economy overhaul has created new problems for Entrecard, personally I feel the value of Entrecard Credits have gone down. Previously 1000 EC may be worth from $3-$5 but since the EC sales monopoly began, I’ll like to believe that the number of hardcore droppers have gone down. Likewise, contests offering EC as prizes have less value than before thus the limits have to be raised so that more contests could take place, giving Entrecard more buzz.
  2. It will be Christmas celebration soon, many people are generously giving EC and perhaps most Entrecard staff will be away until few days after new year. Perhaps there will only be 1 or 2 support staff left, hence raising the limits would significantly reduce the workload of the unfortunate souls left to tend to the virtual card business.

Regardless of the real reason behind the move, I am sure that 25,000 credits transfer limits per week would be welcomed by most Entrecard users.

By the way, I have a real dilemma now. I am contemplating whether to use Entrecard widget on digitalBuzz! or not. On one hand, it would help me generate more visits from eager droppers and subsequently per view money from Today.com but on the other hand, most droppers do not stay to comment nor read the posts hence resulting in high bounce rates and inaccurate traffic representation.

What do you think? Should I use Entrecard widget here? Is it allowed by Today.com? Or perhaps I should use my surplus credits to advertise digitalBuzz! on other people’s widgets without putting one here myself?
