DilKholKeBol.Com - The First Microblogging Portal Launched in India
DilKholKeBol.Com which is launched today, is the first microblogging portal in India. With its tagline “dil khol ke bol …is the way to shout it out“, the developer hopes that the site would be a place for Internet users around the world to pour their hearts out, shout, speak and share news all day long.
Web 2.0 sites, especially social networking and microblogging services are expected to make further inroads into Internet users’ lifes in 2009, following their phenomenal success in the year 2008. As such, there is little surprise that microblogging platforms are still part of many Web developers’ plans to grab a piece of the Internet riches.
Dil Khol Ke Bol makes its intention to cater to Internet (and mobile) users regardless of race and nationality clear right from the beginning. In its about page, it is revealed that
DilKholKeBol.Com allows expression of thoughts using Roman alphabets across languages and allows messages upto 140 characters.
I have registered on Dil Khol Ke Bol to test out its features. There were not many features available yet, you can follow or be followed by fellow Dil Khol Ke Bol users, you can micro blog through the portal or through a mobile application (mainly only Nokia mobiles are supported).
Dil Khol Ke Bol is bold enough to challenge the world and the policy maker should be applauded. However, as a portal catering to users from different countries, English should be used as the default language of the interface. Apparently the developer agrees with my argument, partly. See the screen shot below, are there some unrecognisable words?

By the way, I have also tried to Dil Khol Ke Bol (will this be adopted as a verb too in the near future? like google as a verb) to get news out regarding this blog post. Let’s see if it brings me decent traffic, I will keep you updated.
Dil Khol Ke Bol is yet another Internet initiative by Compare Infobase Limited (CIL), which has scripted success stories like Mapsofindia.com, Mapsofworld.com, Dgreetings.com, Indiaedu.com, Christmascarnivals.com and HeadlinesIndia.com.
CIL was established in the year 2008. It is developed with a vision to self fund, incubate and come up with ideas of end-to-end solutions for websites and e-businesses. CIL has offices in India and also US, the two countries with most rapid IT progress and development.
Lastly, I wonder if anyone can shed lights on the total number of users that are registered on Dil Khol Ke Bol as of now and what those words really mean. Anyone up to the task?

twitter and others are no doubt nice, but I always wanted to bring in a concept to microblogging !
I hereby post a Review-Request for www.emote.in ,
A microblogging service; which is a platform to -
1. Make yourself heard, comment on news, stories and current affair.
2. Share your experiences, memories and events with your friends and family.
3. Connect with different people with similar emotional attributes as yours.
(eg: if attrocities on animals make you sad, connect with others who share the same feeling)
4. Jot-down your experiences. You usually have so many things to say - a constant stream of thoughts, comments and observations running through your head continuously.
5. Last but not the least, has everything (and much more) that twiiter has.
6. A wonderful timeline coming shortly (in few weeks)
Hi Gaurav,
Thank you for letting me know about emote service. I will look into your request and write a review as time permits.
